The Most Hated MBTI Types – Who Is The Most Annoying?

Here are 3 MBTI personalities that are more easily hated than others:

  • INTJs
  • ENTPs
  • ISTJs

Let us take a look at how they may get on the bad side of people!

INTJs – Why Are They In The Bad Books?

Despite their well known intelligence, they seem to lack the emotional aspect of it hence they possess poor people skills and may not be the best of conversationalists. When they become a poorer version of themselves, they tend to cut off people while they are speaking, finish their sentences for them or do not even listen to what they say and answer according to what preconceptions they had from before.

This personality type also has the belief that they know for a fact what and how others think and hence they are prone to keeping biases. They do not like to listen much to others and the reason behind this is that they already know what is right.

Also, the INTJ views other people as dull and unintelligent; they do not know as much as them and only possess a surface level understanding of things.

Another reason why people may start hating an INTJ is because they are very difficult to have a conversation with – they do not back down from their point of view easily.

ENTPs – Too Loud & Dominating?

The ENTP personality type can be condescending and harsh as well as too difficult to talk to on a point of concern. They are obsessed with doing things in the new or latest way even if the old way is something everyone agrees upon and is more practical.

This personality type is quite loud too and they do not like to back down from an argument; they will keep it going until the other party loses. Furthermore, they will use bad logic to force the other party to accept their argument.

The ENTP does not like people who focus on feelings and considers them as irrational or weak!

ISTJs – The Judgers

This personality type considers themselves as the perfect example to follow – they are Mr. Perfect or Ms. Right! Nonetheless, they will always look at others as people who are less fortunate because they do not know what is right or wrong.

The ISTJ will also throw rules or judgements in people’s faces without realizing their situations – what they see is sufficient enough to pass a judgement.

The Myer Briggs Personalities

In this section, we will take a look at the personalities described above in more detail!

What Is An ENTP Personality Type?

Also known as the ‘Debater’, the ENTP is one of the personality types of the Myer Briggs Type Indicator that is extroverted, intuitive, a thinker and perceiver! They are very charismatic and bold, not to mention creative, mentally agile and persistent.

These individuals like to re-energize themselves by meeting friends and family, socializing at their favorite eatery, taking a walk in the park with their friends or simply hanging out with people they love. What matters is that they have someone to give them company, share their feelings and thoughts with and converse maniacally with any topic that comes to mind. It’s refreshing to connect with others.

ENTPs are intuitive which means they don’t always focus on the facts or what is in front of them. Yes they very much appreciate logic and the relationships they can see however, this does not stop them from thinking out of the box. People who are intuitive are known for making many discoveries in world history and this does not happen by just ordinary thinking; they must go beyond the scope they are given! They give value to their vision, dreams and even imagination and combine that with what they already have in their hands.

Such people give weightage to their thoughts and what seems structured or logical rather than the emotions they feel for others. Sometimes this can be detrimental and they find difficulty in understanding the emotional complaints or requests their loved ones have. People with this personality type focus on values like truth and justice and prefer to see the logic or aim of things. They can be described as task oriented rather than people oriented.

ENTPs are perceivers and this may explain why they are able to achieve so much in terms of their discoveries and contributions to the world. Such people are spontaneous; they prefer things that come and go rather than a structured boring plan. They need excitement and can’t wait for it. However, at the same time, they are flexible and understand that things will occur in their time so they have a casual approach as well that helps them think openly and spot more opportunities along the way.

INTJs – The Dominant Functions

INTJs are made up of four functions namely introversion, intuition, thinking and judging. We will discuss each of these one by one to develop a deeper understanding of this personality type.

Introverts can be defined as ‘measured’ people. They think very carefully before they speak and when they speak it is limited. They are better able to process information by thinking over it in their head instead of participating in a brainstorming session. Also, their behaviours reflect their inner world; when they think they automatically become quiet, more focused and reflective while doing so hence their thinking and behaviour is in sync. Hence, don’t get overwhelmed when they don’t reply as fast as you want them to or go quiet. They just need time to think over what you said or what it is they want!

People who are intuitive are known for making many discoveries in world history and this does not happen by just ordinary thinking; they must go beyond the scope they are given! They give value to their vision, dreams and even imagination and combine that with what they already have in their hands.

When it comes to intuitive people, they are indeed gems; they have dreams and visions they want to achieve and they will not let anything stop them

INTJs give weightage to their thoughts and what seems structured or logical rather than the emotions they feel for others. Sometimes this can be detrimental and they find difficulty in understanding the emotional complaints or requests their loved ones have. People with this personality type focus on values like truth and justice and prefer to see the logic or aim of things. They can be described as task oriented rather than people oriented.

People who have the judging function are very particular about having schedules; they want to know what needs to be done when and prefer not to have too many surprises in their routines because it affects their work and tasks they need to get done. They will appreciate a person who has much of the things organized and already done.

ISTJs

The ISTJpersonality types have an innate urge and sense of responsibility to carry on tradition. Hence, they uphold traditions, appreciate rules and systems that have been put in place as well as socially constructed concepts such as those of social norms and community life.

When it comes to ISTJs, these individuals like to make decisions based on facts and figures; they believe in presenting a strong picture backed with much evidence especially when they need to convince someone or take an important decision. These individuals do not like indecisiveness and prefer to take bold and strong decisions that they firmly believe in. They also get quite irritated if someone challenges their thought process with poorly built arguments.

These individuals value commitment and promises very much. So if you ever want to get in the bad books of a Logistician, just lie to them and be irresponsible or lazy. I guarantee you will get a spot in the blink of an eye!

Logisticians need security and stability. They need someone who will complement their work and not create a hurdle in it. If they find coworkers or friends like that or even a spouse it is a great achievement for them but if they don’t, then they don’t mind being alone because of the peace it brings them to pursue their goals.

What is the Myer Briggs Type Indicator?

The Myer Briggs Type Indicator is a self-report questionnaire based on Carl Jung’s theory that individuals experience the world using four psychological functions namely sensation, intuition, feeling and thinking with either one of these being the dominant factor. The personality test determines which of these functions best describes a person hence detailing their personality, strengths and attitudes; it assigns one of the 16 personality types (just like INTJ or ETSP) to the individual taking the test.

Here is a list of the various issues with the MBTI:

  • It lacks reliability
  • It is used by non professionals
  • It is not valid
  • It adopts a reductionist approach
  • The developers of the scale are not formally trained in psychology
  • Carl Jung’s theories are debatable
  • It’s widely accessible
